Retired Adults
From time to time, one of our beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels retires from the show ring or completes their carefully planned breeding. At that point, they are ready to enjoy a new life as a cherished companion with many years to come. These dogs have grown through the naughty puppy stage and have been raised with structure, consistency, and exceptional care. They are only placed with families who can offer the same level of love and stability.
My program is intentionally small and selective. Retired adults become available only occasionally. When they do, the dogs are truly special. They deserve a home that appreciates their gentle nature and individual personalities. Their steady temperament and years of dedicated care should be valued.
Thoughtfully placed. Carefully matched. Always with the dog’s well-being first.
Why Adopt a Retired Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Retired Cavaliers make wonderful companions for families seeking a mature, well‑mannered dog. They are:
- Well‑socialized and accustomed to routine
- Comfortable with grooming, travel, and handling
- Affectionate, steady, and eager to bond
- Health tested and monitored throughout their careers
- Often easier to integrate into a home than a young puppy
These retired show dogs transition beautifully into family life and quickly become treasured members of the household.
Experience the joy of a Cavalier who already knows how to love.
Our Placement Approach
Every placement is thoughtful and individualized. I take time to understand your home, lifestyle, and expectations. This way, I can match you with a dog whose personality and needs align well.
While an adoption fee applies, the amount varies depending on the dog and is discussed privately with approved applicants. Our priority is always the long‑term well-being of the dog and the family they join.
You can expect:
- Full transparency about health history and veterinary care
- Honest guidance about temperament and daily needs
- Support as your new companion transitions into home life
We place hearts, not just dogs.
Health Testing & Ongoing Care
Health is central to everything we do. Each retired Cavalier has been raised within a program built on comprehensive, breed‑appropriate health testing.
Families adopting a retired adult receive:
- Complete health records
- Results from relevant testing
- Information on any ongoing care needs
- Clear communication about their long‑term well-being
This foundation helps ensure a smooth, confident transition into their new home.
Register Your Interest
Retired adults are not always available. When none are listed, it simply means no dogs are ready for placement at this time. Availability is limited, and placements are made carefully.
If you are interested in welcoming a retired Cavalier into your home, we encourage you to register your interest below.
I will be in touch when one becomes available. Thank you.
